The Challenge Ledger

One thing I started doing years ago with birding was moon challenges. Essentially, I would set a goal for each moon cycle. New Moon to New Moon. This really helps to support my year long goals. It keeps me from falling into a rut, by changing things up each month.

I went head and set moon goals for the entire year. However, one thing I like about moon goals is the flexibility. I can change them as the year progresses to match my interests or my goal needs. Below are my moon goals for this year.

Check marks indicate the months that I completed my challenge.

January ✔️

Games Already Own Moon

This month I will play games which I already own but haven’t played. I have selected four to try this month, Apothecaria, Epitaph, Mappa Imperium, and Ronin.

February ✔️

Dice Moon

This month I will play at least 3 games which use dice to make some determinations. (I’m hoping to use this moon as a chance to catch up on some games that I’ve put down but want to get back to.

March ✔️

Not Usually Solo Moon

This month I will play at least 2 games which were designed to be played with a group.

April

Free on itch.io Moon

This moon I’ll find at least 3 games that are free on itch.io, which I haven’t already played before.

May ✔️

Card Moon

This moon I’ll play 3 games which use playing cards or tarot cards to help make decisions.
